Countdown rave4/11/2023 ![]() ![]() And it was honestly not too PLUR in my experience with my partner. Over-packed, MainStage smelled like a bathroom due to the rain. I honestly think this Countdown will be my last one as well. absolutely love making kandi/cuffs and trading. It’s happened to me as well, but I was lucky to be experienced enough with handling myself to not let it ruin my night. Thanks for sharing the PLUR with your wife! I’m also sorry to hear about your experience of sexual harassment. ![]() Wishing you the best not only for the new year, but for the future as well! You are an amazing person and we need more people like you in this world. Thank you for going through with the handing out of a memory to so many, I’m upset at myself for letting others ruin that for me. Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent it out I guess. All the people that were there to take advantage of those who were there just to enjoy a movement really took me out of it. Unfortunately, due to the way that some people conduct themselves, it left me untrusting of people’s real motives. This year I made a ton of Kandy to give out for the first time, I remember all the joy and excitement I got from being given these small tokens by others, and I wanted others to share the same feeling. I love the scene, music and people (mostly), the amount of pickpockets and organized crime that runs rampant makes it difficult to really trust people. After a traumatic experience at beyond a couple of years ago, I’ve been a lot more hesitant to return. I’ve been raving for a few years now and it has brought me some of the most memorable moments, but after the reopening of everything with Covid, the scene for me has not been the same. Choose kindness this year, be safe, much love If anyone wants to reach out by all means, I'm recovering from two nights of rolling so anything to keep the blues away. All I can say is travel with friends because that guy looking at me wasnt looking at another human, he was looking at meat and it was fucking terrifying.Īnyways, rant over. We locked eyes and he was just shaking his head up and down. Some dude in his late 60s with a hobo beard with tattered clothes, very rest stop horror vibe. Looked back expecting maybe a younger gay guy or even a woman (the last two times this year made me assume). Lastly, I had my ass grabbed by a complete stranger at Valentino Khan. VIP was just bad towards the end of the second day. Saturday was horrendous by the closing sets and was pretty upset to find out they had oversold again. Friday crowd was the perfect amount in vip. Doesn't make for a very hygienic setting. What bothered me was the lack of drainage at the stages. I'd like to discuss the negative aspects of the rave. Those were my favorite sets with the best people to interact with. I had never seen yellow claw, jauz, canabliss, champagne drip, or Chainsmokers. Shit was amazing to hear from out side lmao. Y'all were more organized in that split second than any US Army company ive worked with and got her phone back. Last interaction that I got to see from afar was my wife going back to the bathrooms asking the girls if they had seen her phone. Best experience with the little etcha sketches was a guy with his cyber punk helmet and this random girl who reached out between people to grab it, looked at half the heart and saw who had the other half and almost melted (from a guys perspective the guy was very dashing and it was an extremely cute moment). Thank you to the couple who let me try their heart refractal glasses. I decided to use two at a time drawing half a heart on each one and give them out to couples or people who wanted to bond with another more. ![]() She had the most adorable experience with a woman who was holding a totem pole of a raccoon face. You're fucking rad whoever you are.Īfter the notes and glow sticks I decided to start handing out little drawing pads with the magnetic dust that people could use over and over. ![]() I handed out nearly 100 glow sticks to everyone, the best appearance had to be the guy in the evil dead jacket who decided to use his glow stick as a fill in for his nose piercing. The past 3 years has had a lot of huge ups and downs for me so I wrote out little notes on yellow post-its in hopes that you got to hear what I wish someone had told me when I was going through hard times or needed a laugh. I fucking love you guys and I hope my little gifts out to you made your night. Even the people who just wanted to vibe out and not interact with strangers, still super respectful. Let me just start off by saying that 99% of the people who I interacted with at countdown were so fucking nice. I'm sure this will get lost down the road but in hopes of shining some light I wanted to share my experience. ![]()
